mobileezy Enterprise 6.0 Preview Sneak peek at Add-ons Date: 03/07/2007 Author: Profitlink As many will know, mobileezy Enterprise 6.0 is on track for the planned September release. One of the new features to 6.0 is our new plug 'n play architecture that enables us to create industry specific or task specific add-ons that can be purchased separately as needed. These add-ons effectively allow you to mix and match exttra product functionality to suit your business needs. Two of the developed add-ons (inventory tracking and advanced unit of measure) are being tested in the market and receiving excellent reviews. Inventory tracking picks up where many accounting systems leave off. It allows you to track stock in multiple locations (individual vans or trucks for example) and includes the ability to do book-ins, book-outs, stock adjustments, assign stock to waste, perform stock takes and much more. It can be configured to work in single or double entry modes, and is best suited in bar code environments for the greatest time savings. Also included in inventory tracking is an asset module, designed to allow you to track valuable assets (fridges, freezers, point of sale material and fittings or any other asset) assigned to individual customers. The Advanced unit of measure add-on is ideal for the food service sector with it's comprehensive random weight capabilities (perfect for small goods, seafoods and meat businesses). In addition, advanced unit of measure includes the ability to scan TUN codes (use-by and batch number bar codes) and run reports that will show all sales (including time stamps of actual transactions) of a particular batch or use-by date - making it easier than ever before to perform stock recalls should the need arise. Both add-ons are available in the pre-release of mobileezy Enterprise 6.0.
